An active leak is one of the highest-intent plumbing requests. The first intake goal is to determine whether water is still running and whether the requester can safely shut it off.
Find the shutoff
Use a fixture valve when possible. If the leak is severe, the main shutoff may be needed. If access is unclear, say so in the request.

Photos, property type, affected fixture, visible damage, and parking or building access help a plumbing partner decide whether to accept the lead.
